Step-by-step guidance for seekers and employers using Sira on the web and Android. This guide is available offline inside the app. Features and limits shown in your installed version and current plan take precedence over examples here. For assistance, email support@carenavigatortech.com or call +251 99 215 6739, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM EAT. Never send passwords or one-time codes.
1. Create an account and verify your email
Seekers: open Create account, enter your name and an email you control, choose and confirm a password, read the linked policies and tick the acceptance box. Employers: use the employer portal and provide company and administrator details.
Use at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase and a number, avoid common passwords and stay within 72 UTF-8 bytes. The eye/show control lets you inspect what you typed. Matching confirmation is required.
After registration, Sira automatically emails a six-digit code and shows the code-entry step. Enter it and choose Verify and sign in to go straight into your account. Every later non-staff sign-in follows email and password, then an automatically sent code; you do not need to request verification separately.
No email: check the spelling, spam folder and mailbox rules. Resend code appears only at the code-entry step. Wait at least 30 seconds before resending; the newest request replaces the earlier code. Codes expire after 10 minutes and five incorrect attempts require starting sign-in again. If delivery remains unavailable, contact support with the time and error message, not the code.
2. Sign-in, password recovery and account safety
Use Forgot password to request an email, open its link and enter a new password with matching confirmation. Reset links expire and are single-use. Check that the link opens a Sira destination before entering credentials. Password reset does not replace email verification.
When signed in, open Settings > Security > Change password (or My account & password in the employer portal). Enter the current password and confirm a different strong password. Staff use the dedicated admin console and may need their authenticator.
For every non-staff sign-in, submit your email and password first; Sira sends a code automatically. Enter it in the same app or browser to finish signing in. There is no separate verification-request action on the initial sign-in screen. If you cannot access your registered mailbox or suspect compromise, contact support for ownership review. Do not share a password, reset link or verification/authenticator code with anyone.
Sign out on shared devices and lock the device. Removing the app is not account deletion. A disabled account requires support review; repeatedly changing passwords will not reactivate it.
3. Search, filters, sources and pages
Open Jobs and type a role or keyword. Results update after a brief pause (about 350 ms); pressing Search also works. Broad words can match the description as well as the title. Clear the text to return to an unfiltered query.
Use the filter control beside search. Select category, region, city, experience level or organization type, then apply. A region change clears an incompatible city. Dismissing the sheet does not apply staged changes. Clear resets query and filters.
Verified jobs are posted through participating Sira employers. Open opportunities are gathered from external sources and may require applying elsewhere. A verified label is not a guarantee of a hiring outcome.
Previous and Next browse 20 jobs per page. Search, filter or source changes start at page 1. If no results appear, clear filters, try a broader keyword, change source tabs or refresh. If there is a connection or filter-loading error, use Retry rather than assuming there are no jobs.
4. Saved jobs and application deadlines
Tap Save job on a listing or detail page. Open Saved jobs in the bottom navigation to find it again. Use Remove saved job to undo the bookmark. Saved state belongs to your account; saving does not submit an application.
Deadlines appear when the employer/source supplies them and are displayed in local time. Listings without a deadline do not imply unlimited availability. Expired jobs are excluded from new search/application actions, and saved listings may show an expired notice.
Refresh Notifications to see reminders for saved jobs closing within 48 hours. There is no guarantee of a background push alert. Check the source and apply early.
5. Apply, save a draft and track status
For a Sira job, open the detail page, choose Apply, answer every required screening question and review any optional details. Check the current resume first; the application can use your profile resume if you do not choose another. Submit only when ready.
Save draft preserves progress but does not send a completed application for employer review. A bookmark is not a draft or application. The platform prevents duplicate submitted applications to the same job.
Open Settings > My applications to review your Sira application status. The receiving employer controls review and hiring decisions. A lack of status changes does not necessarily mean a rejection.
For an external opportunity, Apply on source opens the originating site. Confirm the role is still open and follow that site's instructions. Sira does not track applications submitted outside Sira. Contact support for problems with a Sira submission, or the external operator for its application process.
6. Edit your profile and manage documents
Open Settings > Profile and resume. Edit your name, optional phone, professional headline, About me and skills, then Save. Your verified email is read-only; contact support if it must change. Edits should remain when you reopen the page.
Upload a PDF, DOC or DOCX resume within the limit shown by the service (default 5 MB). Use View current resume to open it, Replace resume for a newer file, or Remove current resume to detach it from your profile. You may need a compatible document viewer or browser.
Replacement/removal does not update copies already attached to submitted applications. Keep your own original. To request broader erasure, follow Account deletion rather than simply removing a profile selection.
Upload problems: confirm file type and size, close an app that is locking the file, check connectivity and try again. Avoid resumes containing payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive identifiers. Report a failed upload with the file type/size and error; do not send private document contents unless necessary for support.
7. Use the CV builder responsibly
Open the CV tab, choose an available tier/language, provide your experience and optionally select the target job. Check the displayed input and generation limits before starting. Current free allowances and paid availability can vary; an unavailable pack is not purchasable.
If you request AI processing, the submitted text and relevant job context may be processed by the configured AI provider. Read Privacy Policy section 6 first. You can instead upload a resume without using AI.
Review generated details, translations and claims. Correct dates, employers and qualifications; do not submit invented achievements. ATS/job-match scores are guidance only. Use supported edit, export or Use as profile resume actions when available.
If generation fails, note the error and avoid repeatedly submitting the same request. If you hit an allowance or revision-window limit, the displayed tier/credit rules apply. Support can investigate a technical problem but cannot guarantee a hiring result.
8. Notifications and matching-job alerts
The jobs bell or Settings > Notifications opens the in-app center. Employer status changes can create updates. Settings > Job alerts lets you enable matching-job preferences such as a keyword or location/category.
Refresh the center to load new events and saved-job deadlines within 48 hours. Older events have Previous/Next paging. Empty results mean there are no matching displayed events, not necessarily that an employer has read your application.
These are in-app notifications, not a promise of push alerts while the app is closed. Email/SMS behavior depends on deployed providers. Keep checking deadlines and application status even if no alert arrives.
9. Employer onboarding, posting and teams
Register through the employer portal, verify the administrator email and complete company information. Email verification is separate from employer verification: an employer must be approved before jobs can be published.
Create a job with an accurate description, location and requirements. Set an application deadline in your local time where appropriate. Saving creates a draft; Publish may require verification and an available trial/free/paid entitlement. An already expired deadline must be corrected before publishing.
Use the jobs list to edit the role, update its deadline, review applicants or close hiring. Applicants only see published opportunities that remain available. Screening questions may depend on the organization's plan.
Employer administrators manage Employees & roles and billing. Recruiters/managers have hiring permissions; viewers are read-only. Team members use their own accounts and email verification. Do not share an administrator login or grant broader access than necessary.
10. Billing, missing payments and refunds
Review the current price, currency, features and validity before checkout. Use only the payment methods actually displayed. Do not assume automatic renewal or manual transfer support. Core seeker job browsing/applying are free; optional features may have separate allowances or charges.
A payment may need provider confirmation before a plan or credit appears. If confirmation is delayed, do not immediately pay twice. Contact support with account email, transaction reference, amount/currency and date.
For a duplicate charge or undelivered purchased feature, read Refund and Employer Posting Terms and contact support. Never send full card, wallet login, bank password or one-time payment codes. A receipt/reference is enough to begin an investigation.
11. Privacy requests and account deletion
Find Terms, Privacy Policy and Help together at the bottom of the account menu. After choosing Register, the signup form also shows the acceptance checkbox and Terms/Privacy links; these are not shown on the initial sign-in screen. Help is not shown on signup. The installed app contains an offline version; check the displayed date and use the public copy when you need the latest published text.
To request deletion, email support@carenavigatortech.com from your registered address using 'Sira account deletion request'. The published process includes ownership verification and deletion/de-identification within 30 days, subject to lawful exceptions. Contact support if you no longer control that email.
Signing out, disabling notifications, uninstalling or removing your current resume does not delete the account. Application copies held independently by employers may require a separate request to the employer. Ask support for access/correction or an explanation of retained records.
12. Connection, browser, mobile and language troubleshooting
Check connectivity and retry once. On web, reload the page and verify you are on the correct Sira seeker or employer address. On mobile, use the latest available app release. Clearing browser/app data can sign you out and reset preferences, but does not delete server data.
For a document or external link that will not open, check whether the device has a compatible viewer/browser and allows the requested action. Only open trusted destinations. The offline policy/help text remains readable without a connection, but job searches, account actions and support delivery need connectivity.
Use the language menu for English, Amharic or Afaan Oromoo interface text. Full shared policy/reference articles are currently published in English and labelled accordingly; localized quick FAQs remain in the app. Contact support if you need help understanding a provision.
For persistent issues, send app/build version, Android version or browser, approximate time/time zone, steps to reproduce, exact error and a redacted screenshot. Do not send credentials, codes or unnecessary personal documents. Avoid repeated rapid retries when a rate-limit message asks you to wait.
13. Report scams, suspicious content or a service problem
Never pay a recruiter for a promised job, share account codes, or disclose bank credentials to an unverified contact. A verification badge is not a reason to skip your own checks. Stop communicating and contact the relevant payment provider if you suspect payment fraud.
Report the job title, employer name, listing/source URL and a short explanation to support@carenavigatortech.com. Include safe, redacted evidence. Do not send another person's unnecessary personal information.
